Our Commitment
The GUNAA-Metropolitan DFW Chapter believes an education should never be out of reach because of cost. Each year, the Chapter awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors and current Grambling State University students from the Arlington and Greater Tarrant County community, funded through membership dues, chapter events, and the generosity of donors who believe in the power of Tiger Pride.

Every scholarship we award is an investment in legacy — a way of making sure the doors that Grambling opened for us stay open for the students coming up behind us.
What We Offer
Three ways the Chapter supports students at every stage of their journey — from graduating seniors to returning Tigers.
Awarded to an academically outstanding first-semester freshman from an Arlington or Greater Tarrant County high school who has been accepted to and enrolled at Grambling State Univer.
Up to
$4,000Awarded to an incoming freshman or currently enrolled Grambling State University student majoring in a STEM field who demonstrates strong academic achievement. The scholarship includes a guaranteed $2,000 contribution from the Busby Sanders Family, with the Metro DFW Chapter matching the award up to an additional $2,000.
Awarded to a first-year freshman who has been accepted to and enrolled at Grambling State University. The scholarship recognizes academic excellence and supports a successful transition to college.
Awarded to a currently enrolled Grambling State University student who has demonstrated academic excellence and a commitment to earning their degree.
How To Apply
Applicants must be Metropolitan DFW area high school graduates who meet the required GPA and Grambling State University admission requirements.
Application, official transcript, and two letters of recommendation.
Submit a 500-word essay or a 1–2 minute video responding to the required prompt.
